Dr. Polkosky is a human factors psychologist and IBM-Certified Thought Leader Consultant with over 11 years of experience in user experience design and testing. She has a history of measurable success leading technology transformation for IBM clients, especially for speech technology-based user experiences. Dr. Polkosky's research on defining and measuring usability has been used throughout the speech technology industry and she is well-known for her advanced skills in complex quantitative data analysis and interpretation. In 2012, Dr. Polkosky will deploy for a month-long community-based assignment in United Arab Emirates as part of IBM's Corporate Service Program. Her family includes her supportive husband, a very busy 3- and 5-year old and she enjoys running, writing and vegan cooking.
