Venture Connections is an invitation only, separate track of the Technology Summit. It features structured networking between entrepreneurs in technology and life sciences companies and capital providers (venture capitalists, angel investors, private equity funds and other capital providers representing billions of available financing), in one room! It would take months of meetings and a gold-plated rolodex to match the breadth and depth of financing options available in one room at the Technology Summit!

Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs (women and men) who are founders or CEO's of high technology and life sciences companies that are currently seeking additional rounds of financing are encouraged to apply to participate in Venture Connections.

Applicant companies will be asked to submit an executive summary for consideration and review. If approved, the applicant company will be asked to submit a full business plan.

All accepted companies will participate in the "Company Pitch" portion of Venture Connections. During this portion of the module, the company representative will present their company's "pitch", using powerpoint presentations, to a group of investors matched to the company across a number of variables, including: industry sector, stage of company/ amount of funds sought, and geographic location.

"Meet Your Match" is a followon portion of the Venture Connections. Presenting company summaries will be sent in advance to the participating capital providers for review. Capital providers will be allowed to request a select number of individual meetings with representatives of those companies they have a specific interest in. Companies chosen by specific capital providers will be given set meeting times with these investors. (Note: not all participating entrepreneurs will be chosen for one-on-one individual meetings during this portion of Venture Connections").

Participation as an entrepreneur company is by pre-screening/invitation only. There are a limited number of slots for participating companies.

Following the Venture Connections module, the attending company members may attend the rest of the general business conference, including the Taste of Technology Reception (Monday evening, February 13, 2006), keynote luncheon, general breakfast, and afternoon workshops (Tuesday, February 14, 2006).

Capital Providers
Venture capitalists, angel investors, investment bankers, and other equity investors are encouraged to attend the Venture Connections event! You will be presented an opportunity to meet and hear the 'pitch' of pre-screened, high technology and life sciences companies that are seeking additional rounds of equity financing.

During the "Entrepreneur Pitching Sessions" portion of Venture Connections, you will be able to select and listen to presentations from participating entrepreneur companies. The selected, pre-screened companies will present 7 minute pitches of their company's information, in a back-to-back format, broken out by industry sector.

Following, you may meet, on an individual basis, members of the management team from those companies that you have a more specific interest in; this is the "Meet Your Match" portion of Venture Connections. As a participating capital provider, you will be sent the executive profiles of the presenting companies in advance, and will be able to select a limited number of these for prescheduled meetings.

Participation is by advance submission only.
