Laura Rippy has extensive experience in Internet, software and consumer marketing, including the management of several high-performing e-commerce development efforts. Prior to joining Handango, Rippy worked at Microsoft for six years where she held a series of marketing and executive positions. While there, Rippy founded MSN HomeAdvisor.com and co-founded MSN Sidewalk.com, two award-winning e-commerce sites.
As general manager for MSN HomeAdvisor.com, she created the business plan, convinced Microsoft executives to fund the business, hired and led the product development team, and managed all aspects of partnerships and marketing. For MSN Sidewalk.com, she drove the original business plan, customer targeting and product development priorities.
Most recently, for Microsoft's Dallas office, Rippy led strategic e-commerce solutions sales for Microsoft's enterprise customers. Rippy holds a master of business administration degree from the Harvard Business School and a bachelor of arts degree in government from Dartmouth College.
