WITI Member Sharon Heck to fill new Vice President role at Berkshire Hathaway's Corporate Headquarters

Richard HoggeDue to several business acquisitions and growth in international operations, Berkshire has recently added a new position to is small corporate headquarters staff: Vice President - Taxes. Berkshire Hathaway and its subsidiaries engage in diverse business activities including property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, utilities and energy, finance, manufacturing, retailing and services. Common stock of the company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange trading symbols BRK.A and BRK.B.

Sharon Heck has been selected to fill this position effective June 2, 2008. Sharon is currently a federal tax partner with Ernst & Young LLP in their Chicago office. She has a diverse tax technical background across not only federal tax, but also international and state and local taxation. In addition, she has had the opportunity to work with a multitude of industries not only at Ernst & Young but also during her tenure at AFG Industries and Coopers & Lybrand. Sharon will be joined in Omaha by her husband, Chuck, and her "children" - a horse, goat and two dogs.

Dating Expert and CEO Stephany Alexander Announces Publicity, Partnerships and Networking for WomanSavers.com

Stephany AlexanderDating Expert and CEO, Stephany Alexander, has been in the headlines non-stop for her date screening website WomanSavers.com, the World's Largest Database Rating Men targeting abusive and cheating men. Stephany states that "in this dangerous world we live in, it's imperative that women screen their dates to avoid becoming involved with a con-artist, abuser, player or pedophile and that's why I created WomanSavers.com in 2002."

Ms. Alexander's recent appearances include the CBS Early Show and FOX Business News, along with dozens of newspaper and radio interviews. WomanSavers.com will be announcing multiple partnerships in the near future with video marketing websites, mobile companies and dating websites.

WomanSavers.com was a recent exhibitor at a WITI convention. "I made invaluable connections by being an exhibitor at a recent WITI convention and look forward to attending a future WITI event," adds Ms. Alexander.
