Allison Morris, CHTP, has been in the technology industry for over 15 years focusing on system deployment, business analysis and technology project management in the Hospitality Industry. A graduate of the Cornell School of Hospitality Management, she began her career in Slot Marketing assisting her property with implementing and maintaining their slot systems and their customer database. Since then she has logged numerous miles and managed countless technology implementation and conversion projects within the Hospitality Industry. Her breadth of hospitality knowledge spans from corporate owned hotels to franchise hotels, from ski resorts to beach resorts, from convention hotels to city hotels to airport hotels, from timeshare properties to wholly owned properties to corporate housing/apartment properties and to casinos. She has experience with numerous technology projects implementing and converting systems including but not limited to property management, point-of-sale, telecommunications, sales and catering, administrative, e-mail, video-on-demand, high speed internet and casino gaming. Allison is well regarded for her ability to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others as demonstrated through her Hitec speaking sessions on topics such as system selection, project management and training Millenials as well as her recent contribution writing an article on project management best practices for the Bottomline publication. On her latest project, she is working with Harrah's Entertainment on their gaming systems conversions. In her personal time, Allison enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family including her four young children. She is a strong believer in networking organizations and is looking forward to helping the Las Vegas network of WITI grow in 2010.
Cynthia Lopez

Cynthia Lopez has provided Professional Services to some of America's top Corporations and Government Agencies at the Federal, State, and local level. Cynthia has over 17 years experience in the Staffing industry to include experiences in recruitment, sales, operations, management and contract negotiations. She has provided IT, Accounting, and HR staffing solutions to commercial and government clients nationwide as well as locally in Las Vegas, NV. Cynthia is currently a Partner with ResourceXtend Professional Search & Consulting and has also served on the Citizen's Advisory Committee for the Las Vegas Valley Water District. Cynthia has two sons, ages 16 & 7, enjoys volunteering, traveling, cooking and being a soccer mom.
Jennaya Fernane
Education Chair, WITI Las Vegas
Jennaya has over 10 years in the Las Vegas Staffing industry, the last six focused on Information Technology clients and candidates. She holds her Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She is a Certified Internet Recruiter and has coached and placed many Las Vegas IT professionals in successful career paths. She truly enjoys the long term relationships this has created for her. Jennaya successfully launched the Las Vegas WITI Mentor Program in 2007 and is excited to continue making this program stronger and reaching out to the academic community for support and assistance. Jennaya is expecting her first daughter in May of 2010 with her husband of 5 years. She enjoys the social networking that her job and her involvement in WITI allow her to foster and is excited for another great year for the Las Vegas Network.
Ellen Kominsky
Social Media Chairperson, WITI Las Vegas
Ellen Kominsky has over seven years of experience in the web marketing world. A seasoned professional, Ellen has worked with an array of clients - from public companies to start-ups - and specializes in website development, search engine optimization, and online marketing techniques.
Ellen currently works at Diamond Resorts International, where she oversees the eCommerce and marketing efforts of their website.
Prior to this position, Ellen worked as a marketing manager in the SEO Department at 888 Holdings. Her ability to multi-task allowed her to oversee the marketing and search engine optimization efforts for over thirty websites. During her time at 888 Holdings, she was responsible for increasing member conversion by over 500% on the websites that she managed.
Ellen graduated with honors from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a BA in Communications and was the Managing Editor of the official university newspaper. While still in college, her work was featured in nationally syndicated newspapers, literary publications, and local Las Vegas magazines.
A strong supporter of networking, Ellen is looking forward to creating the social media strategy for the Las Vegas WITI network.
JoAnne Ruh, M.B.A.

Vice President, Information Technology, and Chief Information Officer at Nevada Cancer Institute
JoAnne Ruh brings more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of information technology with a major emphasis in systems design evaluation and consultation with substantial experience in health care information technology. Ruh is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology and Informatics at NVCI. Ruh is a member of Nevada's Health Information Technology Blue Ribbon Steering Committee and a Board Member of the National Cancer Institute's Cancer BioInformatics Grid (caBIG) Clinical Trials Committee.
Previous to joining NVCI, Ruh served as the vice president of Information Systems at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York, where she was responsible for the planning, development and management of their information systems and data networks. Ruh is a founder and former board member of the Western New York HealtheNet & HealtheLink, regional health networks.
Ruh received a bachelor of arts in economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a masters of business administration degree, with a concentration in health care administration, from Canisius College, Buffalo. During her career, she has served as director of Financial Applications with the Catholic Health System in Buffalo. Prior to that appointment, she served as director of Information Systems at St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga, N.Y., and in various capacities with Delaware North Companies, Marine Midland Bank, N.A., and Columbus McKinnon Corp.
Whitney Kilgore MS Ed.
Education Chair, WITI Las Vegas
Director - Academic Technology Services, College of Southern Nevada
Ms. Kilgore has more than 15 years of accomplishments in the education field. She holds a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Science in Education from A&M University in Corpus Christi.
With SunGard Higher Education, Ms. Kilgore is the Director of Academic Technology Services at the College of Southern Nevada. Her primary responsibilities include planning, developing, and supporting technology-enhanced teaching and learning. This is achieved by directing the Academic Technology goals, initiatives, and personnel, serving as liaison to support ELearning, managing Academic Technology projects, and facilitating collaboration and communication to support the goals of CSN and Academic Technology Services.
Prior to her role at the College of Southern Nevada, Ms. Kilgore worked to provide expert consultation with faculty and staff on effective practices for instructional technology utilization. She researched, analyzed and solved client related instructional problems which required learning technology solutions. Ms. Kilgore also revised and created instructor training curricula on technical and pedagogical topics related to online course creation and maintenance. She conducted training events, post-training assessments and prepared faculty for teaching online courses by demonstrating to them how to use the developed technology while leading them through the decisions involved in planning and preparing to teach an online course.
As a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences Ms. Kilgore delivered presentations on the following key topics including but not limited to: Hybrid course development, Retention in the Online Environment, ePortfolios, Online Program Development, Data driven decision making, and Web 2.0 Tools in Higher Education.
