Change Intelligence: Empowering Women to Put the Power of CQ to Work in Their Teams and Careers

Tuesday, April 9, 2013
12-1PM PT (3-4PM ET)  |  FREE for WITI Members ($50 Nonmembers)

Presenter: Barbara A. Trautlein, Ph.D.

Do you struggle to balance getting your current work done with excellence against strategizing toward future goals? Are you frustrated that while you coach your team toward great results, you often feel stymied toward attainment of your personal career aspirations? The reality is that as women, we so often put the needs of others (staff, manager, organization) ahead of our own. How can we prioritize the many competing demands on our time and attention, in a way that empowers us to feel whole and fulfilled? How can we best put our positive power to work, at work? Women who develop their Change Intelligence (or CQ) are better able to juggle conflicting priorities intentionally and effectively. In this webinar, you'll learn what CQ is and how building it can simultaneously help those around you be more productive as well as bolster your career success. The CQ System for Developing Change Intelligence is based on decades of change leadership in the workplace, years of conducting global research on managing change, and deep study into the psychology and neuroscience of change. Through real-life examples you'll:

- Understand the vital leadership skills women bring to the table, and also the common tendencies that unintentionally keep us from achieving what we want.
- Diagnose your own Change Intelligence, and appreciate the strengths and blind spots of your Change Leadership Style.
- Develop your CQ to simultaneously make a bottom-line impact on your team and organization while also focusing on your career through positive, proactive self-promotion.
- Emerge as a more competent and confident (and less stressed and frustrated) leader of change

Barbara is principal and founder of Change Catalysts, author of the book Change Intelligence: Use the Power of CQ to Lead Change that Sticks and originator of the CQ/Change Intelligence System. For over 20 years, Barbara has conducted workshops for thousands of participants, coached many dozens of people from CEOs to union workers, and facilitated over a dozen mission-critical multi-year change management initiatives - achieving bottom-line business and powerful personal results for clients. She is gifted at sharing strategies and tactics that are accessible, actionable, and immediately applicable. In addition to her "hands on" work with clients, she is a recognized expert, author and researcher on leadership and change management best practices. This blend of research and real-world expertise makes her an in-demand speaker at conferences in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa. Barbara has a unique ability to connect with her audiences, from C-level executives in Fortune 50 organizations to front line employees, and across industries, from steel mills to sales teams, refineries to retail outlets, and healthcare to high tech. Clients served include Baxter Healthcare, CareerBuilder, Catholic Health System, Ford Motor Company, Hyatt International, Motorola, the NYPD, Sears, Steel Dynamics, US Cellular, and Whole Foods. Barbara holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan
