Carol BartzCarol Bartz
CEO
Autodesk

Carol Bartz has been CEO at Autodesk since 1992, nearly doubling revenues at Autodesk in her first four years at the company and setting her sights on one billion dollars in revenue by 1998.

While the continued growth of Autodesk is a goal for Bartz, she has also focused on sustaining a thriving environment to meet the needs of female employees and to encourage their professional growth at Autodesk.

Bartz never hesitates to lend her support to internal organizations that support women such as the Women's Managers Group at Autodesk. Bartz has supported telecommuting and flex-time programs at the company because she feels it is very important to provide an environment for employees that balances work and family. Whether the issue is employee volunteering or educational programs about menopause and breast cancer, Bartz communicates her concerns to employees. This visible support serves to motivate young women to become pioneers in science and technology.
