As CEO, Willem P. "Wim" Roelandts, is leading a "Values Revolution" throughout Xilinx. From sales people is Germany to software developers in Boulder to the "factory" in San Jose. Xilinx employees are affirming the newly articulated company values and testifying that those values are positively affecting their work.

Using a process that has included all employees, Roelandts has given new meaning to the term "Open Communications." In his new role (18 months), Roelandts is focusing the company to continue its technical cycle, he funded a new employee and organization development group to support his commitment to create a new management style for the new century.

At Xilinx, Roelandts is building on the tradition of people management he learned at Hewlett-Packard where he spent 29 years, most recently as senior vice-president. He is well-known for mentoring many of the senior women there. At Xilinx, Roelandts continues to mentor women and all employees by actively supporting diversity issues, work/life balance and telecommuting.
