Excerpt from nomination: Ms. Villarante graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Computer Science in 6/88 and joined the Unisys Corporation as an Associate Software Engineer in the A-Series System Console group. Prior to this she spent two Co-op sessions with Unisys. Her first assignment delt with one of the most complex areas of software the group is responsible for. This did not intimidate her one bit and she proceded like a veteren. She did the required research, sought consultation when needed, and completed ahead of schedule. This was an accurate preview of what we have come to accept as her normal way of approaching tasks. She continues to seek out the more challanging and meaningful tasks as her own.

She sought and was granted more and more responsibility, until she became one of two chief archetects for our current Console Software offering. This formed the basis for tasks assigned to from twelve to fifteen engineers She directed the efforts of those engineers, while implementing some of the more difficult tasks herself. All this has resulted in her being sought out by other organizations as the person of choice to answer technical questions or offer potential soultions to requirements that involve the system console.

Over the course of the last nine years all of the evaluations of her performance, done by various supervisors, have resulted in exceptinal ratings. Her rapid rise through the various grade levels reflect this.

All of this has been accomplished while maintaining a pleasent outgoing attitude. She is never seen without a smile on her face and a good word to say. She is one of the most pleasurable and technically competent people I have had the opportunity to work with. Most deserving to be honored by your organization.
