Using Technology to Enhance Learning, Preserve Wisdom & Generate New Ideas

Tuesday, February 19, 2013
6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Technology has changed every facet of the way we live and that includes the way we teach and learn! Dr. Joan Kaywell, USF professor, is excited to share how she uses technology to enhance learning, preserve wisdom and generate new ideas. This applies to us as life-long learners, students, parents of students and professionals like managers and corporate trainers. Everyone will learn something useful, especially since we're all interested in generating new ideas!

WITI Central Florida also welcomes the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida as they partner with us. We’ll learn how the Girl Scouts' Unique Approach to STEM experiences are framed within the context of leadership: As girls participate in Girl Scouting, they develop leadership skills to make the world a better place. Research shows girls are more interested in STEM careers when they know how their work can help others.
