We're living and working in a truly connected age: the expanded virtual workforce, bring-your-own-device (BYOD), the Internet of Things (IoT), and universal connectivity have given rise to the digital workplace. People are connected with mobile devices varying from phones to wearables and always-on smart devices. The problem? The old rules that governed how we work and live no longer apply. We're now more dispersed than ever, and complex, legacy infrastructure solutions are up for a major refresh by disruptive cloud-based technologies. We're also facing a new series of challenges to protect privacy and manage the sheer amount of data coming from many places (machines and users' laptops or mobiles) that has to be securely transported, stored, and analyzed. This panel will discuss how technology rapidly advances to rewrite the rulebook, and how we build the infrastructure of the future to manage the tremendous amount of data generated by humans and machines.
