Morgan Lai is an investor at Foundation Capital, joining the firm in 2018. She is passionate about helping hungry and ambitious founders build legendary companies, especially in the areas of AI/ML, B2B software and deep tech. Ms. Lai started her career at Flux Factory, helping enable architecture professionals to activate data to dramatically improve construction. From there, she joined Loop AI Labs Cognitive Computing as an AI scientist, working on developing its cognitive platform. Before joining Foundation, Ms. Lai founded and led HearInsights, an AI-enabled meeting assistant that uses voice capture to automatically generate meeting notes.

Ms. Lai holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from MIT, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
