Avi Rushinek is an Accounting Professor at the University of Miami. His research interests include data analytics, blockchain, business intelligence, algorithmic formulation for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Trading Systems, forensic accounting, fraud examination, and mobile app development. Dr. Rushinek is on the editorial board of Journal of Forensic and Investigative Accounting, IT Journal, and the Journal of Forensic Accounting. Dr Avi Rushinek is a prolific author and frequently presents at Academic and Business Conferences and consults with Healthcare and Hi-Tech companies. His awards received include the Microcomputer Auditing Grant Award from PWC, Technology Grants from Microsoft, Panasonic, Sony Corporations, the Distinguished Service Award from the Dade Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Research Award from the University of Miami School of Business. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and B.A. from Tel Aviv University in Israel.
