About Our Speaker(s)

Angelyn Russell
Angelyn worked as a municipal bond trading assistant before joining Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor in 1988. She became Vice President in 1997 and celebrated her 20-year anniversary with Morgan Stanley in 2008. Angelyn takes great personal pride in always placing her clients and their financial goals at the forefront of her practice. She strives to develop long-term professional and personal relationships with them, most intent upon educating and assisting her clients with financial plan development according to their individual goals and objectives. Angelyn is currently registered as a General Securities Representative, a Registered Commodities and Futures Representative, and holds her Health & Life Insurance Licenses. Her main areas of focus are Retirement Planning and Risk Management.

Born and raised in Abilene, Texas, Mrs. Russell graduated from Texas A&M University in 1984 with a B.B.A. degree in Finance. She lives in Dallas with her husband, Mark, and their two young children, Sophie, 5 years, and Andrew, 4 years. She is actively involved in her church and the Texas A&M Former Students Association. In her spare time, Angelyn enjoys spending time with her children, playing tennis, and solving crossword puzzles.

Roxann Swanson
Roxann Swanson is Vice President of Customer Interaction Solutions Sales for Cisco Systems. In this role, Roxann is responsible for leading the Contact Center selling practice for the US and Canada which includes the sales strategy, revenue growth and customer relationships across all business segments in the Theater.

Prior to joining Cisco, Swanson held the VP/GM position at Nortel, heading up the Multimedia Applications organization, which included Nortel's Contact Center, IVR, Unified Messaging and Unified Communications portfolios. She was responsible for the strategic vision and the research and development for these Nortel solutions. Roxann also led the sales team responsible for selling into Cingular Wireless.

Prior to Nortel, Ms. Swanson had roles of increasing responsibility in Sales, and Marketing in the telecommunications industry, including AT&T, and Southwestern Bell.

In 2005, Ms. Swanson gained industry-wide recognition for excellence, receiving Frost & Sullivan's Enterprise Applications Executive of the Year award. She actively promotes the advancement of women in business, serving as a mentor and a member of corporate and community executive boards and advisory councils. She is also the recipient of numerous awards for professional achievement; Ms. Swanson is a three-time nominee for the YWCA Women of the Year in Technology award.

Ms. Swanson earned a Bachelor of Administration in Business magna cum laude with a focus on Human Resource Development and Training from Barry University in Miami, Florida.
