Negotiating the Gender Gap at Work

Wednesday, January 11, 2006
6:00-8:30

Women are often told that their communication styles hold
them back in the corporate world, where masculine culture prevails.
Some women try to adopt male patterns and strategies, with disastrous
results. Others leave corporate America for their own small
businesses, where they can be themselves. Fortunately, “Get masculine”
or “Get out” are not your only two choices. Learn other options for
effective interaction with men.

engineering programs and for Southwest Texas State University. She
holds honors degrees in mathematics and law.
