Does one develop a career strategy or a life strategy?

Wednesday, April 5, 2006
6:00-8:30 PM

Join WITI and Hilda Camargo as she leads you through a discussion on how to design your career life with a look at the following well-known and effective strategies to get ahead:

1. Be clear on where you want to be – “You have to know where you want to get to have any real hope of getting there.”
2. Do an outstanding job in your current position – in today’s evolving business environment, how do you do in the following areas:
• Communication
• Adaptability
• Relationships
• Personal Development
• Leadership
• Production

According to organizational development experts, there are three ways to measure your performance in the workplace. These are:

• Cognitive attributes - thinking and reasoning
• Behavioral attributes - traits
• Connotative attributes - occupational interests

Profiles International has developed the ProfileXT, an assessment that delves below the surface characteristics to give you a clear understanding of your individual inner motivations and strengths, as well as any areas of concern.

This in-depth tool to help you understand your key abilities and motivations is available to help you make the right decision about your career. It is sold in the market-place for over $300 but is provided to you with your meeting registration at no additional charge.

Upon successful completion of the online registration, you will receive an email directing you to a web link to take the assessment. It takes approximately 60 minutes to complete, and you do not have to start and finish in one seating.

PLEASE NOTE THIS DEADLINE:
The deadline for completing the assessment AND receiving your results in time for the April 5th meeting has passed. You can still take the assessment but your results will not be emailed to you until after our meeting on April 5th.
