Our moderator Helen Norris is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Chapman University in Orange, California. Helen has almost 30 years experience working in IT, where she has a proven track record of successful project delivery and a demonstrated ability to effect change. Helen has a unique blend of senior operational management skills and technology vision used to develop and implement organizational IT strategy, and prides herself on her collaborative and communication skills. Originally from Ireland, Helen has earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, and a Master's degree in Computer Resource Management and Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis. Helen has served as the Network Director for the Sacramento WITI network and on the governing board for the CIO Summit in San Francisco. Helen is a Fellow of the Educause Leading Change Institute and also is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Panelist Dr. Erik Linstead is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in Chapman University's School of Computational Science. His research interests span the areas of machine learning and information retrieval, with application to software engineering, chemical informatics, and medical informatics. Most recently his research group has been focusing on data mining solutions for improving the way autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is diagnosed, treated, and managed. Erik holds a BS from Chapman University, a MS from Stanford University, and a PhD from UCI, all in computer science.

Panelist Parm Lallie is a Director with Sunera and leads the national data analytics practice. Parm has over 13 years of data analytics, audit, and controls experience with Sunera and other IT consulting firms. This experience includes leading multiple data analytics and CCM initiatives; installing, implementing, and configuring ACL Audit Exchange; and being involved in work on IT general controls, application controls, internal audit, IT risk assessment, process improvement advisory, operational audit, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and National Instrument 52-109. Parm has also been involved in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for clients. Parm has a great deal of experience with CAAT’s tools, performing data analytics, and developing Continuous Controls Monitoring applications for many different business processes. Parm has been involved in developing analytics for fraud (internal, external, and commercial), reporting analytics, internal control analytics, and now embarked on predictive analytics. He has over 13 years experience with ACL Software. Parm is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and ACL Certified Data Analyst (ACDA).

Panelist Barbara O. Forth leads the Information Architecture function at Capital Group and joined in 2012 in the role of Principal Information Architect. Barbara has 25 years of data management experience in Financial Services industry and joined CG from Fidelity Investments in Boston. She is an accomplished Information Management leader who has delivered a wide range of IT solutions with a focus on Business Intelligence/Analytics, business and data architecture, database technology research, and large scale operations management. Barbara is championing an Enterprise Information Management program and is focused on establishing a company-wide Data Governance Practice.
