Social Mission as Strategy

A global economy demands new strategic insight. Some entrepreneurs are breaking new ground in this area and delivering social as well as economic returns on investment by working in underserved communities. This article introduces the concept of creating competitive advantage by employing a social mission as a business strategy. Three women led enterprises spanning USA, Brazil and India, were studied to develop the case for investing in technology solutions for poverty alleviation and social empowerment.

Be a Judge at The Annual SIIA CODiE Awards
This year we need�judges to help select the finalists for each category. Would you or someone in your organization be willing to help? If you have already signed-up to judge then thank you for your help.
The first round review process takes place from November 21 - February 4, 2008.
You will be asked to review�fewer than 10�products and rate them on an online rating form, as well as answer a few open-ended questions. You would not be expected to judge any more than you have the time for, but we really need�independent people with knowledge of the software industry to take on this task.
