About Our Speaker(s)

SHARON TAYLOR
Sharon Taylor, President of the Aspect Group is a well known and respected figure within today’s IT Service Management community. As the former Chief Architect and current Chief Examiner for ITIL®, the world leading IT Service Management best practices, Sharon is the author of numerous ITSM books and regular columnist for a variety of global IT management publications. As a long time CEO, Sharon brings a business background and focus to IT service management and has used her business experience in influencing the future directions of the IT service management industry.

Sharon recently completed a three year term as the Chairman of the Board for the Chair of the itSMF International, responsible for ensuring global growth and governance of ITSMF in over 50 countries, and is at the centre of best practice development and endorsement. She is also past President of the North American Institute of Certified Service Management Professionals, a sister organization to the UK Institute of Service Management.

Sharon is the recipient of the 2008 ITSM Lifetime Achievement Award. Her contributions to the community and to best practice are based upon extensive professional experience in the industry. After many years as an active ITSM professional within Canada, she is currently President of Aspect Group Inc, leading AGI’s consultancy, training and ITSM practice, working with clients throughout North America, Asia and Europe.


SALLIE KENNEDY
As CFO for a national accreditation organization, one of ten such bodies in the US, Technology falls in her reporting chain. Prior to her current position, Sallie was a Senior Consultant for Plexent focusing primarily on the areas of IT Governance and Organizational Change. She worked on several global projects as part of her team with Plexent. As vice president at World Savings, she was responsible for Technical Services and Support for ten years; her departments included Desktop Support, Business Perspectives (Business Alignment), Executive Support, and Enterprise Applications. Her tenure at World included heading up several national projects.

Her ability to see future trends and turn them into a reality within the organization has proven a pivotal in her success. Sallie’s drive toward Business Alignment coupled with strong Executive Support Skills has changed the perception of IT as an impediment to one of partnering and mutual respect.

A founder and secretary of the itSMF USA San Francisco Bay Area Local Interest Group, Sallie also worked with both the national and international organizations of itSMF. Her position as former President of the itSMF USA chapter has put her in a unique position to assist with governance issues at the international level.


DEBBIE SERVICE
Deborah Service (aka Debbie) is the Head of Service Management for the Investment & Advisory (I&A) and Enterprise Strategic Business Units at Thomson Reuters. She has direct responsibility for the change, capacity, configuration and problem management teams within I&A and Enterprise Technology Operations.

Her thirteen year tenure with Thomson Reuters is distinguished by: the integration of ex-Thomson Financial (TF) and ex-Reuters Technology Operation teams after the merger into the merged company’s ITSM initiative called One World (this initiative won itSMF USA’s project of the year award in 2009); the design and implementation of the Business Systems Hosting service for ex-Thomson Financial Technical Operations; the creation of the ex-TF Technical Account Management service; the implementation of Knowledge Management within ex-TF Tech Ops; management of diverse technology teams ranging from system and network engineers to process analysts. Debbie is a founder, past president and current membership chair of the New York Local Interest Group.
