Daniel Dubois has been a leader in the financial services industry for nearly 20 years. In 1985 Dan started his career as a financial consultant in a Beverly Hills, CA brokerage firm specializing in fixed income and tax-advantaged investments. His early success led to becoming the youngest broker ever appointed Managing Executive of a branch office for one of the nation’s largest broker/dealers.
Prior to affiliating with ProEquities, Inc. and joining Retirement Strategies Group, Dan served as President of a nationally licensed NASD broker dealer which was the nation’s leading independent broker dealer providing executive benefits and retirement plans to large public and privately held corporations. In this position he was responsible for overseeing the registered representative development, licensing, regulatory and compliance initiatives of the firm.

Dan has authored numerous articles on retirement planning strategies, was the host of Perspectives on Profit - a five minute live market commentary that was aired daily on KWHY-TV in Los Angeles, was featured in Business Week as a college student for a successful entrepreneurial venture, and is a regular guest speaker at industry conferences.

Dan holds Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses. He is also licensed nationally for life, health and variable insurance. Dan earned a degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut in 1985. He also was awarded an academic certificate in Personal Financial and Estate Planning from San Diego State University after successfully completing a comprehensive six course advanced studies program through SDSU’s Graduate School of Business. Dan lives in San Diego, CA with his wife Tina and their two kids.

DR. MAGDA MARQUET
Co-President and Co-Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Magda Marquet, a founder of Althea Technologies, has had over twenty years of experience in the biotechnology industry in the United States and Europe. She was formerly Executive Director of Pharmaceutical Development at Vical Incorporated, where she established herself as a leader in the production of clinical grade DNA for use in gene therapy and DNA vaccines. Prior to joining Vical, Dr. Marquet held process development positions at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Protein Polymer Technologies, Syntro Corporation and Transgene. Dr. Marquet holds a Ph.D in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Toulouse/INSA. Dr. Marquet was the winner of the 2005 E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award in San Diego in the Life Sciences category, the 2005 UCSD Athena Pinnacle award in Technology, and the 2004 Women Who Mean Business award from the San Diego Business Journal.
