What is a Girl Geek Happy Hour?

WITI South Florida, decided to start a monthly Girl(Women and WITI Men)Geek happy hour just for fun.

It is an excellent opportunity for like-minded professionals to get together and discuss in an informal environment about the latest technology and science trends. Cat eye glasses and throwing around css terms are not required, but are appreciated.

How do I know if I qualify to be a girl geek?

Don’t worry about qualifying yourself. If you think you’re a girl geek, you probably are. Come on down and see for yourself. The whole point is to meet new people.

What’s the point, really?

Look, we’re girls. We’re social. We can like motherboards and MAC. We need to remind each other that we’re out there, mentor each other and encourage girls to fly their geek flag proudly. Oh Yeah – Like all WITI events, guy's can come too!

This is a “just for fun” event so that we can get to know one another in a fun non stressful way. Food and drinks are on your own!

From Interstate 95
Take the Broward Boulevard exit East, continue to Southeast Third Avenue. PASS Third Avenue and turn right into the first driveway to access parking.

From Federal Highway
At Broward Boulevard, go west to Southeast Third Avenue (the first street light) and turn left. Make another left on Southeast Second Street (the first street light.) Turn left into the second driveway to access parking.

Daytime Parking
Inside Parking Garage Rates
Breakfast - complimentary until 8:30 am, tickets must be stamped by the Club Receptionist.
Lunch - parking is a $2.50 flat fee between the hours of 11:30 am - 3:00 pm and tickets must be stamped by the Club Receptionist.

Regular Parking Rates outside of those hours: $4.00 /1st hour, $3.00 for each additional hour up to a $16.00 maximum/day (after 5 hours)

Parking
Valet service is available after 5:30 pm in the covered parking area on the northeast corner of the building. Valet parking is complimentary for Tower Club Members and $5.00 per car for non-Members. Parking meters are available on Southeast Second Street for self-parking.

Pre-registration for this event is closed and on-site registrations will not be accepted.
