SpaceX is the American space transport company founded by PayPal co-founder and Tesla founder Elon Musk, with the goal of revolutionizing rocket and space technology to take space exploration to the next level. At the helm of SpaceX is President and CEO Gwynne Shotwell, responsible for day-to-day operations and for managing all customer and strategic relations to support company growth. Gwynne joined SpaceX in 2002 as Vice President of Business Development and built the Falcon vehicle family manifest to more than 50 launches, representing nearly $5 billion in revenue. Gwynne is currently a member of the SpaceX Board of Directors, the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Space Security, and the Federal Aviation Administration Management Advisory Council.
