305: Dealing with Difficult People

Frank Del Fiugo, Founder, Del Fiugo Consulting
June 7, 10:15 am - 11:15 am  •  Coaching Workshop - San Jose Room

Envision this: You've prepared for the board meeting thoroughly. Several peers have given the thumbs up. You walk into the room and begin to speak. Before you get through the introduction, you're derailed by someone in the meeting who appears to be interested in anything but your success... Or this scenario: you're working with an individual who can't take "no" for an answer. He lacks boundaries regarding your personal space, your time, and your work. Or, how about the explosive individual who overreacts verbally to the slightest feedback? Or the attention-seeker who takes all the credit and does minimal work? If you relate to one or all of these situations, this workshop is for you. With a template for dealing with difficult people, we'll examine four difficult personality types. You'll learn how to apply time-tested communication strategies to manage these challenging personality types, be in charge of our own reactivity to difficult people, and facilitate positive outcomes in a timely fashion.
