Wearable technology is playing a growing role in sports all over the world. From built-in sensors, GPS tracking, full biometric monitoring - to evaporation and impact PSI detection to help reduce dehydration and injuries and optimize performance - all are clearly changing the way we do sports. However, professional sports leagues have been hesitant to approve (if not outright banning) the devices for in-game use. Further, the costs of many of these wearables create another obstacle for girls and women in sports. This panel will discuss the business of sports wearables, and the opportunities being presented almost daily as IoT becomes more and more engaged in the space.
