Maryann Baumgarten is a motivational advisor to business leaders around the world. As an organizational psychologist and the Founder & CEO of Lit Up Leadership, Dr. Baumgarten helps leaders activate the often hidden potential latent in their teams and themselves for exponential performance growth, leadership impact, and business innovation. She has been recognized as a global award-winning leadership development consultant working alongside numerous business leaders at Microsoft, Google, Apple, and other successful large, mid-sized, and small businesses.

Prior to founding Lit Up Leadership, Dr. Baumgarten spent 14 years at Microsoft, building the company's Gen Y career and leadership development programs. She holds five academic degrees in human science, including a Ph.D in Human and Organizational Systems; and is the author of Engage: How Leaders Bring More Energy to Work and Life. Dr. Baumgarten is currently the Head of Diversity and Inclusion at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (operated by Stanford University and funded by the US Department of Energy).
