Karen Wickre is a veteran editor, curator, content strategist, and connector of people and ideas. She recently left her position as editorial director for Twitter to start her own consultancy, KVOX Media, to provide editorial strategy services to companies and teams needing to communicate clearly and consistently.

While at Twitter, Ms. Wickre oversaw two teams encompassing corporate content. Her editorial team was responsible for articulating, documenting, and educating employee stakeholders on the voice of Twitter for corporate marketing communications. Her second team, internal communications, was responsible for managing messaging, events, and cultural touchpoints to inform and inspire Twitter employees around the world.

Before joining Twitter in 2011, Ms. Wickre spent almost a decade on Google's global communications team, where she advised teams on corporate media relations, social media, and best practices in public communications. She built the Google blog platform for publishing news and views across products, countries, vertical audiences, as well as the flagship, the Official Google Blog. Early in 2009 she launched Google's official Twitter presence, which gained 3.4m followers during her tenure. Ms. Wickre began her Silicon Valley career with PCW Communications, a subsidiary of IDG, publishers of such early tech publications as PC World, Macworld, Publish, and Macintosh Today.
