Mica Syjuco actively builds and grows Avanade's DevOps and Agile capabilities to address client challenges on the field - an undertaking made especially interesting given their 30,000+ global headcount. Ms. Syjuco graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and has been in the software development industry for almost 15 years. Currently located in Chicago, she works with teams located in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America. She is a Professional Scrum Trainer (PST) with Scrum.org as well. Ms. Syjuco has led the successful delivery of complex software projects for multiple clients. She has a strong expertise in implementing and leading both Traditional and Agile / Scrum based development and delivery processes supporting distributed teams on medium to large-scale .NET based enterprise projects. Ms. Syjuco currently works with clients throughout North America leading software project delivery and providing Scrum training, consultation, and coaching with a focus on Microsoft .NET technology, in addition to her other responsibilities in the firm.

A musician herself, she is also the Band Manager of "Jack of None," whose debut album was released internationally in 2016. The band was nominated in eight categories at the 16th Annual Independent Music Awards held in New York, taking home awards in the Best EP and Best Music Producer categories. Besides her family, work, and music, Ms. Syjuco is passionate about handbags and has started her own blog called Purse Chronicles. Family, software development, music, handbags: words that might not seem the most obvious combination, but they mix well in Mica Syjuco's world.
