About Our Speaker(s)

Aruna Viswanathan is the Vice-President and Director of Operations, Houston Technology Center (HTC). Since joining HTC in 2001, she has worked with more than 40 businesses, primarily in the hardware and software sectors. She currently manages the acceleration team at HTC, which provides guidance to HTC’s 60+ client companies to help develop business plans, raise capital, implement strategic marketing and build management teams. She is also responsible for overseeing HTC’s growth, by developing business processes and client company programs.

Aruna previously worked for Motorola's wireless subscriber signal processing division as well as two successful software start-up companies. She was a 2003 recipient of the AWC (Association of Women in Computing) Women in Technology Award. Aruna holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from Rice University.

She serves on the board of Women in Technology International (WITI), Texas Entrepreneurship Institute (TEI), and as a board representative for the MIT Enterprise Forum. She also participates on the boards of two emerging technology companies, and is actively involved in the technical and operational advisement of Test Masters, an educational services company.

Coming from I-45 North or South, exit Beltway 8 West to Highway 249 North or from I-45N or S exit Highway 249 North. Exit Highway 249 at Chasewood/Compaq Center Drive. Follow cloverleaf over Highway 249. Get in right lane and inform security station that you will be going to the Commons. Continue on Compaq Center Drive through two lights. Turn right after the 2nd light into Visitor Parking Lot of the Commons. Walk through breezeway and enter the first door on the left.
