Brian Garavuso provides strategic technology direction and information technology management for Diamond Resorts International. Diamond develops, markets and globally operates in 21 countries with a system of 150 quality vacation ownership resorts servicing more than 380,000 member / owners.

Brian was most recently the Chief Information Officer for Hilton Grand Vactions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels. Hilton Grand Vacation operates 30 branded high-quality vacation ownership resorts in Florida, Las Vegas, New York and Hawaii with 120, 000 owners.

Prior to Hilton, Brian was the Chief Technology Officer for Interstate Hotels & Resorts; and its subsidiary, BridgeStreet Corporate Housing Worldwide. IHR, based in Arlington, VA., the nation’s largest independent hotel management company, which operated more than 300 hospitality and leisure properties with approximately 84,000 hotel rooms. BridgeStreet Corporate Housing Worldwide is one of the world's largest corporate housing providers, offering upscale, fully furnished corporate housing throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and 39 additional countries through its network partners.

Garavuso was previously the vice president of technology and CIO for South Seas Resorts (SSR), which was acquired by MeriStar Hospitality, Interstate Hotels & Resorts’ sister company, in 1998. During his tenure at SSR, he led the installation and development of new property management systems and point-of-sale systems in their nine resorts located throughout southwest Florida. In addition, he was responsible for the development of their central reservation operations, website, intranet, guest service / comment system and new financial management system.

During his 15 years with SSR, Garavuso held a variety of management positions and established their central reservations operations. In addition, he was vice president and controller for Marquis Hotels and Resorts, a subsidiary of SSR.

Garavuso is a certified hospitality technology professional (CHTP) from the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals Association. He is also on the technology sub-committee of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. Brian is also a frequent speaker at the industries leading conferences and symposiums.
