Genevieve has extensive international sales experience, having lived in Zurich and done business in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. After needing a break from spending 90 percent of her time working globally, she returned to Atlanta to publish an award-winning Georgia-based magazine called Business to Business, where she produced numerous sold-out conferences with Top 500 CEOs.

LEIGH DAVIS
VICE PRESIDENT & REGIONAL CIO, ALABAMA POWER

Leigh Davis is vice president and regional chief information officer of Alabama Power Company, where she leads the development and implementation of information technology strategy and operations.

She has held various positions within the Southern Company system, including serving as an attorney in Southern Company’s Washington, DC office, where she managed issues concerning corporate litigation. As assistant to the vice president of the Washington office, Davis supported lobbying efforts with congressional offices and federal regulators. Davis’ external affairs experience also includes leadership roles in economic and community development at Alabama Power and in environmental affairs at both Alabama Power and Southern Company. Most recently, Davis served as Alabama Power’s corporate concerns manager

Davis received her bachelor of science in commerce and business administration and juris doctor degree from the University of Alabama. She is a licensed member of the Alabama State Bar and a member of the Birmingham Bar Association. She is also a graduate of Samford University’s MBA program.

She currently serves on the boards of TechBirmingham and Alabama Information Technology Association (AITA). She also serves on the executive committee of the Jefferson County Chapter of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association; Auburn University’s Management Information Systems Advisory Board and the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Information Systems Advisory Council. She is also actively involved in a formal mentoring program with the University of Alabama School of Commerce and Business Administration.

In the local community, Davis serves on the boards of Girls Inc., Children’s Dance Foundation, and Youth Serve. She actively supports United Way, American Heart Association and American Cancer Society. Davis is currently participating in the inaugural class of Leadership UAB and is a graduate of Leadership Birmingham, YWCA’s MOMENTUM, and Project Corporate Leadership.


DIANA MELICK

Diana Melick is a Senior Executive with 20 years of experience of successfully driving steady corporate growth and sustained productivity through implementing strategic roadmaps, solid technology foundations and standardized process management. She has focused on building strong teams, developing key executive relationships, and implementing outsourcing models that support the business needs, enhance quality, while reducing overall costs.

In June 2004, Diana was appointed Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Siemens Energy & Automation, an Atlanta-based firm which manufactures and markets one of the world’s broadest ranges of electrical and electronic products, systems and services to industrial and construction customers. Over the past four years, Diana has helped enable the company’s growth from $1.8B to $4B, including 12 acquisition integrations over an 18 month period. Her organization is responsible for business process management, IT planning, architecture and governance, compliance, security, project management, application management, and infrastructure.

Diana joined Siemens Energy & Automation in 1997 where she held various management positions across a broad range of applications and infrastructure services including order management, manufacturing, pricing and configuration, sales force automation, human resources, incentive compensation and eCommerce. Prior to joining Siemens she was with Georgia Pacific where she managed the company's executive information systems, environmental systems, and configuration management for SAP implementations. Diana began her career at Pillsbury where she held positions of increasing responsibility.

Diana was born in Rochester, Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems from Central Michigan University.

DAVID K. HENRIKSEN

David K. Henriksen is the senior vice president and general manager for McKesson Provider Technologies’ Physician Practice Solutions. He holds responsibility for overseeing McKesson’s practice management and electronic health record solutions for physician practices. He joined the Physician Practice Solutions group of McKesson in 2006.

Prior to McKesson, Henriksen was with GE Healthcare, where he most recently served as vice president and general manager of Enterprise Solutions. He also has held leadership positions in GE’s physician office and picture archiving and communication system (PACS) businesses.

Henriksen is currently on the Board of Directors of the Technology Association of Georgia Healthcare Society and the Willow Creek Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., and an MBA from the JL Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

KAREN PAINTER

TURNER BROADCASTING SYSTEM,INC.

As Senior Vice President, Information Technology, of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., Karen Painter leads an applications development team, which supports The Entertainment Networks, (TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network, TCM, CNN News Networks) and Turner’s Corporate Group. The Enterprise Applications Department focuses on technology solutions that are primarily internal facing. These IT solutions are comprised of database administration, system architecture, software development, software quality assurance, business analysis, research and development, project management, and security and process improvement.

Ms. Painter has been with Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., since 1995. Karen has over 20 years of application development experience. In addition to her experience at Turner, she has worked on the vendor side of application development. Karen began her career as a developer for McDonald Douglas Aircraft Company writing assembly language for the F15E.

Ms. Painter holds a BS Degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University.

DEBORAH DEAN
EXECUTIVE VP AND CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
MATRIA HEALTHCARE, INC.

In February 2008, Debbie assumed the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Office for Matria and added additional responsibilities of Product Management and Informatics Departments. As of May 2007, Debbie was Senior VP and CIO with areas of oversight which included daily IT Operations, Application Development, and Client Data Solutions.

Joining Matria in 2005 as VP Data Applications, Ms. Dean oversaw the technology that consolidates and integrates Matria’s client data sources. She has been instrumental in leading the efforts to implement automation of data flow and pre-profiling of the data feeds to significantly reduce the overall cycle time from data receipt to member access by the clinicians.
Debbie, bringing with her 15 years of data processing and healthcare expertise, brought a proven process and development discipline to the Client Data Solutions organization. She created standards for data ingest including all 500 eligibility sources being changed to the HIPAA standard 834 and for pharmacy the NCPDP standard. By enforcing standards, this allowed template programs to be created for the rule mapping and software programs that process the data. Additionally, Debbie saw the need for many tools to preprocess the data to move quality checks much earlier in the business cycle creating productivity efficiencies for the workforce. These processes and tools have resulted in 60% of all files that come to Matria are processed automatically without manual intervention.

Prior to joining Matria, she was Senior VP of Research and Development for Quovadx, Inc., a leading healthcare integration company. While at Quovadx, she developed the premier eligibility and claims clearinghouse product that integrated the top clearinghouses such as HDX, WebMD, MedUnite, Proxymed and Medifax. Prior thereto, Debbie worked in data warehousing and client informatics reporting management roles with Medstat and Criterion Health Strategies.

Ms. Dean earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from Arkansas State University.
