Rose Hickman's practice focuses on all areas of intellectual property, including prosecution, litigation, licensing, and opinion work involving trademarks, patents, domain names, copyrights, rights of publicity, and trade secrets. In her patent work, Rose has handled a wide range of technologies, including software, integrated circuits, flat panel displays, interplanetary rovers, medical devices, complex mechanical systems, and computer implemented business methods.

Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson, Rose was an associate at a prominent IP firm in Pasadena, California. Before starting her legal career, Rose worked as a programmer/analyst for BellSouth Intelliventures and an atmospheric science researcher at the NASA Langley Research Center and Georgia Institute of Technology.

Ms. Hickman graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1997 with degrees in physics and philosophy. Ms. Hickman received her law degree from the University of Southern California in 2001.

Sheila Lewis founded Flyin' West Marketing Resource Group in 1997 after over fifteen years of marketing management experience with Visa International, CoreStates Bank of Delaware, FCC National Bank and the Quaker Oats Company. Her marketing firm provides strategic planning, market analysis, product development, market research, database marketing and multimedia advertising services to companies as diverse as Visa, MasterCard, Nationwide Insurance, Wells Fargo, the Bay Area Urban League and the YMCA of the East Bay.

Ms. Lewis is a past President-Elect of the San Francisco Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and a past Board President of San Francisco's Management Center. Ms. Lewis holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA with highest honors in Marketing and Finance from Atlanta University.

Matt Crowley is a corporate lawyer who works closely with entrepreneurs. Mr. Crowley practiced securities, venture capital and mergers & acquisitions law in San Francisco with Pillsbury Madison & Sutro and Morrison & Foerster from 1993 to 2001, during the height of the dot.com boom. In 2001, Mr. Crowley took a senior management position with a client, Evoke Software, as their first general counsel. After assisting Evoke with positioning itself for sale in 2004, Mr. Crowley joined Technicolor's DVD manufacturing division ($2 billion annual revenue) as their lead lawyer. Mr. Crowley entered solo practice as a business lawyer for entrepreneurs in 2006.

Mr. Crowley received his business degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1990. Mr. Crowley earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1993.
