What Women bring to the Technology Effort Gale Wilson-Steele CEO of MedSeek in Solvang will be discussing the role and strengths that women bring to technology, flow of knowledge and creative collaboration.

Gale Wilson-Steele is the Chief Executive Officer for MedSeek, Inc., a company specializing in Intranet and Internet technology for the healthcare industry. Gale founded MedSeek in early 1996, at which time the company offered a national Internet directory of 275,000 physicians and webpage publishing services. The business has evolved to provide full web development solutions, including SiteMaker, a proprietary content management software.
By utilizing web technology to advance communications, MedSeek has enabled over 300 hospitals to effectively connect patients, providers and employees through websites and Intranets. Leading clients such as the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MedStar in Baltimore, Alegent Health and Advocate Health System in the Midwest, and the Childrens Hospitals of San Diego, Los Angeles and Oakland are working with MedSeek to build health portals that will drive their e-Health initiatives.
Currently in its third year of profitability, MedSeek has 46 employees working from offices located in Solvang, California and Birmingham, Alabama. Recognized as #3 in the 2002 Technology Fast 50 Awards for the Los Angeles area, MedSeek has earned a place as one of the top 500 fastest growing technology companies in the US.

Exit at the Garden Street off ramp. Turn right onto Garden Street and drive two blocks to Cota Street. Turn left onto Cota Street and drive three blocks to State Street. Cross State Street and immediately turn left into the parking lot from the back. You can park if there are available openings otherwise you may have to park on the street around the hotel.
Arriving from Highway 101 Southbound
Exit at the Carrillo Street off ramp. Turn left onto Carrillo Street and drive four blocks to State Street. Turn right onto State Street and drive four blocks to Cota Street. Turn right onto Cota Street and immediately left into the parking lot behind Hotel Santa Barbara. You can park if there are available openings otherwise you may have to park on the street around the hotel.
