It’s no secret that personal financing can be a burden, but researchers have found that financial stress and poor mental health are inextricably linked. Does debt have a negative impact on mental health, or do mental illnesses result in poor financial management? It’s very likely that both are true and feed into each other. The National Institute of Health reports that, “nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness.”

International Women's Day Hackathon
March 4 - 5
Looking for ways to #EmbraceEquity this International Women’s Day? Here’s some good news: You’ve got the opportunity to take a stand, address inequality and make a genuine human impact during Avanade’s first-ever IWD global hackathon, a two-day* hacking event designed to generate tech solutions for some of today’s most pressing equity issues.
Held in collaboration with Major League Hacking, Women in Cloud and the International Rescue Committee, the event will challenge participants to hack and create solutions around reducing bias, taking action, celebrating difference and allyship, helping Avanade and our partners do what matters in honor of International Women’s Day.
Participation and planning during working hours can be charged to the volunteering WBSe code and the top prize-winning team will be awarded $8,500 USD, plus a 45-minute meeting with members of Avanade's executive leadership team. There are also prizes to be won.
The event will take place March 4-5, and registration is open to the general public in groups of up to four people.
