Personal Branding for Women: Building Strong Brands from Core Values to Market Value

Wednesday, January 10, 2007
6:00-8:00 P.M.

Is your personal brand an asset or a liability? Whether you’re conscious of it or not, you have a brand and people are making decisions that impact you professionally based on their perception of your brand. To quote Kellogg on Branding author and marketing professor Tim Calkins: “perceptions matter most”; effective branding is a critical business competency.

Branding is about differentiation – distilling your unique promise of value and communicating it in terms that are relevant and compelling to your target audience. What is particularly powerful – and empowering – about personal branding is the underlying premise: you will thrive because of, not in spite of, your personal attributes and style.

In this practical seminar, personal brand strategist Nina Burokas will provide insight into how to maximize your effectiveness and personal satisfaction in the “new world of work.” She'll provide an overview of the three-step personal branding process and introduce techniques for managing your reputation as an asset.

Learn how to:
• Assess the strength of your personal brand
• Obtain feedback on how you are currently perceived
• Differentiate yourself from your peers and competitors
• Increase your visibility, impact and market value
• Proactively manage your brand – offline and online
