About Our Speaker(s)

SUSAN D. YESILADA
District Manager/Financial Advisor

As District Manager of the Beaverton office of Waddell & Reed, Inc., Susan oversees 15 financial advisors with her personal goal of helping people through wise financial planning and investment strategies that best suit their particular needs. Susan got involved with financial planning after being a client of Waddell & Reed for several years and became fascinated with the career over six years ago.

When asked about her philosophy on business and life in general, Sue responded, “To place my clients needs and goals first and to continue to work with them over the long term with integrity.” By asking the right questions and getting to know her clients specific needs, Sue identifies the best investment path to follow.

An active community member, Sue has been a member of Rotary International since 1995 and is currently President-elect for the Rotary Club of Tigard. She is also a member of the Tigard Library Foundation, and serves on the City of Tigard Budget Committee.

Sue and her family moved to Oregon from Columbia, MO in 1998 when her husband, Birol, was offered a position as Professor of Political Science and is an Endowed Chair of Contemporary Turkish Studies at the Hatfield School of Government at Portland State University. They have two grown daughters in college, Selin and Sermin. She and her family love nature – hiking, skiing, and swimming. She also enjoys ballroom dancing and reading.
