Sara Pompeo graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional and Technical Writing, with a Professional Area of Study in Journalism. Through her time at YSU, she worked for The Jambar, the school's student-run newspaper, as a reporter and assistant copy editor. Sara was also the president of the Theta Upsilon chapter of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. After graduation, she received her current position as a production assistant at WKBN-TV in Youngstown, Ohio.
