On Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, WITI South Florida will host a special panel presentation, titled “Purpose Driven Networking”. The panelists include executives in the field of organizational development, executive recruitment, and career coaching.

This informative and motivational topic will include strategies to address the driving forces of networking as well as practical applications. Among the three panelists are: Dr. Wilhelmena Mack, President, W. Mack & Associates, known among her colleagues as the “guru” of networking; Susan B. Hawkins, executive recruiter specializing in technology placement, and Marilyn Wagner, leadership member of WITI South Florida, and leader of the Career Coaching Program for the WITI/New York City network.

Dr. Wilhelmena Mack has over 30 years of experience in consulting, human resources, training, community development and collegiate instruction. Dr. Mack is President/CEO of W Mack & Associates, Inc., a management consulting firm. Dr. Mack has pursued community outreach as her field of passion. She has served as President on the boards of directors for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, March of Dimes, The Children’s Home Society, The Tower Forum, The Broward Alliance, The American Lung Association and Junior Achievement of Broward County to name a few. Dr. Mack received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Education degrees from the University of Miami. She received her Educational Specialist and Doctorate of Education degrees from Florida Atlantic University. Susan B. Hawkins has extensive experience working with clients throughout the U.S. and Canada where the focus has been on recruiting leaders in highly innovative industries. Her business expertise encompasses software development, information technology consulting, healthcare and manufacturing. Ms. Hawkins is a board member of WEL, an organization committed to increasing the number of women on corporate boards. She is also a member of BioFlorida’s Membership Committee. Ms. Hawkins earned a B.A in Economics from Lakehead University and a M.S. from Nova Southeastern University’s School of Psychological Studies. Marilyn Wagner has been in the Career Coaching field for over 15 years. She led the Career Coaching Program for the Women in Technology (WITI) organization’s New York City chapter. Ms. Wagner specializes in assisting Technology professionals of all levels in out distancing their competition, accelerating their careers or job search, and “making their mark” on their companies and organizations. She obtained her Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University and Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of PA in Computer Technology.
