Entrepreneur Spotlight: Simple Lean & Green
Identify Waste and Know Your Carbon/Ecological Footprint
Many of the activities we perform in our day to day business operations and personal life are laden with small opportunities to eliminate waste and become a more efficient and "lean" operation - increasing revenues without increasing resources. Imagine that - save money and save the planet! Add to that the fact that becoming a more socially responsible operation contributes to the sustainability of the planet and greening your operation can save money and attract more business.
This presentation will help you to identify the ten types of waste that may be occurring in your business (or home) and give you a new perspective on how to become more efficient and green. We will talk about continuous improvement as a core business value and discuss how all shades of green are good shades of green. We will provide information to help you understand how to identify waste and the basics on determining your carbon footprint and what you can do to off-set it.

She has always had a personal green consciousness and became fascinated with the business possibilities after studying Lean at the LAI (Lean Advancement Initiative) at MIT in Boston and then being exposed to the concepts of “Green IT”. Patricia saw the synergies, the potential, and the emerging market, and created the concept of “Simple Lean & Green” to increase the rewards of the growing green consciousness throughout the business community today, as well as a path for businesses to be more competitive through reducing wasteful practices. Patricia is at the fore-front of the crowd, educating, leading, giving, and helping others help their own businesses save, give back, and thrive!
