As WITI looks back over the last 30 years, it's inspiring to remember where they began. Through dedication and tenacity, it has grown to be the world's leading support for women in technology.

WITI (Women in Technology International) held their first conference in 1995, called Channels for Change. WITI's goal was to celebrate and support the accomplishments of women in technology, and they continue to hold true to that today.

The Channels for Change conference was similar to the WITI Annual Summit which is held today. The conference had inspirational speakers in attendance, such as Gloria Steinem (acclaimed writer, speaker, and feminist) and Jackie Streeter (a senior director of engineering at Apple).

A welcome reception launched the conference, and the days that followed included keynote luncheons, breakfasts, panels, and workshops. An exhibit hall was also set up for attendees to view new products in technology and services available from different companies, such as Apple, Xerox, Intel, Microsoft, DELL, and more.

Join WITI this year as we celebrate our 30th anniversary. All through the year of 2019, we will be posting articles and videos that highlight the past 30 years. Let's continue to make a difference together!
