About Our Speaker(s)

Ianne McCrea is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for CenterPoint Energy Information Technology. She is responsible for leading the strategic and operational aspects of information technology across the enterprise, including applications development and integration, IT infrastructure, end user computing, architecture, project management, production processing, and a revenue-generating telecommunications business.
Ms. McCrea joined the company in late 1997 as Vice President of Information Technology. She has led several enterprise-wide initiatives: the Year 2K Program, the Connect SAP Program, and most recently, the Business Separation of IT assets, computer programs and infrastructure for the spin-off of Reliant Resources. Prior to joining Reliant Energy, Ms. McCrea spent 17 years in the Financial Services industry, the most recent five years at Banc One in Columbus, Ohio, where she was Executive Vice President of Development. From 1983 to 1992, she held various officer positions – the last as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Commercial Systems - with Security Pacific National Bank/Bank of America in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. She started her IT career in operations and programming at Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Texas Commerce Bank in Houston, Texas. Ms. McCrea has been in the information technology industry since 1973.

Ms. McCrea attended the University of Texas at Arlington, Cornell University’s Business of Banking School and the University of Virginia Darden Business School. In 1999, she graduated from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

She is a member of the Information Systems Resource Council at the University of Houston, Baylor University’s School of Engineering and Computer Science Board of Advocates, and the Association of Women in Computing. She also serves on IBM’s Energy & Utility Advisory Board.

BMC and City West Blvd are just off The Sam Houston Tollway between Westheimer and Briar Forest. If you are coming from the North, exit at Briar Forest, turn right at Briar Forest to City West. Go left on City West to EMPLOYEE ENTRANCE 3&4. If you are coming from the South, exit at Briar Forest and turn left under the tollway onto Briar Forest then go to City West and proceed as above.
