WITI Houston Regional Network
"Security for Your Wireless Network"

Wednesday, July 7, 2004
6:00-8:30

Today’s demanding workloads and fast-paced lifestyles force us to live in a world where not just multi-tasking is required, but being available and accessible from anywhere has become the reality. Our transition to a wireless world has come and gone and now we are living in a virtual world. With advanced technology bringing us high-speed networks and an abundance of wireless devices, such as PDAs, cell phones, and Blackberries that truly keep us in touch and closer to each other than we have ever been, how do we ensure that our information is private, reliable, and secure? How do we secure our wireless network and our information? What are the security risks? What types of measures can we take to prevent information theft? Women in Technology International (WITI) invite members and guests to our July meeting where we bring you the inside scoop of securing your wireless networks. The meeting will include dinner, raffle prizes and an opportunity to network with some of the most accomplished women in Houston.

Meeting Notes: Advance registration is encouraged to ensure a space and dinner. Walk-ins are accepted on a space available basis. Expand your network and career power by becoming an active member in WITI. Introduce a friend to WITI and help her grow as well.
