Debbie Wemyss

Originally from New England, Ms. Wemyss has been a South Florida resident for over 30 years, spending 20 of them in the nonprofit industry of Palm Beach County. With a strong background in PR/media/fundraising, Ms. Wemyss spent 7 years with the Palm Beach Zoo serving as Project Administrator for the zoo’s $40M redevelopment project, successfully gaining national recognition in the Discovery Channel/Animal Planet series, “The Ultimate Zoo.” Ms. Wemyss then became Marketing/Public Relations Director for Ballet Florida, achieving unprecedented media coverage in Pointe magazine and The Chicago Tribune while securing in-kind donations totaling six figures in print and TV advertising. As Development Director for a local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Ms. Wemyss consistently exceeded projected revenues and established long-term media alliances.

A long-time desire to become a business owner became a reality in 2011 with the launch of DW Consulting Solutions. As an *Independent LinkedIn® Specialist, Ms. Wemyss offers coaching on LinkedIn profile optimization and best practices for marketing to individuals, corporations and conference audiences. Coaching over 450 individual professionals and hundreds more through workshops and speaking engagements in seven countries, Ms. Wemyss is passionate about the networking and marketing power of the world’s largest professional networking site.
