Ann Shook
Network Director

Ann has been a board member of the Sacramento Network of Women in IT International for the past 4 years and currently serves as the Network Director for the 120 member WITI Sacramento network. Ann is a Director at EMC and has more than 20 years of experience in sales and business development doing business with State and Local Government customers nationally. Since coming from a career in Public Finance in 2006, Ann has held a number of roles at EMC where she has worked with EMC sales leaders, management, industry partners and government customers to drive a better understanding of how to do business with state and local government. Ann has served as Chair of TechAmerica's California Procurement Reform Committee and currently represents EMC with a number of industry associations including ITAPs, Comptia/TechAmerica and NASCIO's Corporate Leadership Council. Aside from her corporate and industry association work, Ann is active in the local community with a focus on STEM education and career development for young women. She has also served as a board member of Not Just Animals, a program designed to highlight the value animals can bring to improve youth literacy.

Paula Davy
Marketing Director

As a Business Development Manager at AgreeYa Solutions, Paula Davy is responsible for new business development and existing business expansion for the IT Staffing Division. Paula has over 15 years of experience in sales and recruiting and has deep understanding of the IT industry. Her team building and management skills as well as negotiation expertise have proved to be valuable for the companies she worked at as well as for her client base. With a passion for customer service, Paula's motto is "seek first to serve others and the business will follow". As a result, she has garnered success and a solid reputation in business-to-business account development and technical recruiting. Paula holds a Marketing Degree and is also Owner/Manager of 2 vacation rentals in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Aishwarya Bhat
Program Director

Aishwarya Bhat, a validation engineer at Intel, has ∼17 years of industry experience in silicon and software validation and quality assurance. She has held various roles in organization and program management. She is recognized for building strong teams and delivering high quality products. She currently is a Technical Product Development Lead in Intel's Custom Foundry Group delivering leading technology products to customers. Aishwarya is very passionate about science and technology. In the recent past, she has held the role of Treasurer for the Society of Women Engineers, SFS section. She is currently a Girl Scout leader in the Placer Gold Service Unit and encourages young girls to direct their career and interests towards STEM. Through these programs and others she mentors the next generation of girls to grow as confident individuals. She also currently serves as the Program Director for WITI Sacramento and works very hard in connecting girls and women to mentors in the technology industry and helps them grow as future leaders. She loves to spend time with her family and learns the Indian Classical Dance, Kathak in her spare time with her two daughters. Rebecca Morales
Membership Director

Rebecca Morales currently serves as the Membership Director for the 120 member WITI Sacramento network. Rebecca is the Business Development Manager for MarkLogic Corporation and has more than 15 years of experience in technology sales and business development - 5 years doing business with State and Local Government in California. Aside from her corporate and industry association work, Rebecca is active in the local community. She serves as a Board Member of Foster Youth Education Fund, a non-profit organization created to generate and disburse education grants to emancipating foster youth. Rebecca has endless enthusiasm for building the WITI Sacramento network and attracting new members to our organization.

Helay Rahimi
Social Media Director

Helay Rahimi serves as the Social Media Director for the WITI Sacramento Network. She is Microsoft and Cisco certified professional with academic excellence and professional work experience. She works at one of the elite Big Four companies and has a diverse technical background in mission critical business applications including system analysis and administration, SDLC, consulting services, IT architecture, project management, system security, database design, business intelligence, data analysis, Web 2.0 collaboration and social media. She is multilingual and her knowledge and experience also includes strategically aligning IT with business goals helping to create opportunities that facilitate change and improve profitability. She leads the Ladies of Advisory initiative at her workplace and is passionate about technology and encourages women to embrace challenging and rewarding roles in the technology industry. Additionally, Helay serves at the board for the TDWI Silicon Valley Chapter and stays up to date with trends in Data space.

Aside from her corporate and professional association work, Helay is active in the philanthropy activities and big advocate of promoting literacy. Currently she voluntarily tutors children in school. She supports the WITI mission and excited to be part the WITI Leadership Council.

Meg Wilson
Social Media Specialist

Meg Wilson currently works as a Labor Relations Consultant at UC Davis where she responds to employee grievances and represents the university in administrative hearings and arbitrations. Previously, Meg worked as an associate attorney at Cook Brown LLP, a Sacramento law firm specializing in the representation of employers. Meg graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis with a degree in political science and attended UCLA School of Law. She is an active member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and MetroEdge and also volunteers as a mentor for the McClatchy High School Law and Public Policy Academy.

Erminja Maganja
Member at Large

Erminja is a Director with Deloitte's State Government Practice, and a core member of Deloitte's Sacramento leadership team. She has worked in the public sector marketplace for over 30 years, serving state & local clients in the western U.S., focused largely on California. Her role is to develop, nurture and strengthen key relationships both with clients and the business partner community; to understand the client's needs and concerns; and to articulate Deloitte's POV on relevant, current topics. Coupled with her experience and perspective, she brings Deloitte's thought leadership from each of Deloitte's four business functions: Consulting, Audit and Enterprise Risk Services, Financial Advisory Services and Tax. Erminja represents Deloitte on a number of State advisory boards; and is a founding member of the WITI Sacramento chapter, having served as one of its first board members, helping to establish Board governance and the WITI mentoring program. Erminja volunteers her time with several local organizations and committees. She enjoys mentoring staff, and subscribes to - and tries to live by the pay it forward philosophy.

Kim Valenzano
Membership Committee Member

Kim Valenzano brings over 20 years of business experience primarily in recruiting/HR, building and maintaining client relationships and business development within the public and private sectors. She is currently the Strategic Accounts Manager for Propoint Technology, a CA certified small business focusing on Project Management, Business Planning and Operations and Full Systems Development Lifecycle. She recently held the position of Professional Services Manager for Allied Network Solutions, a Certified DVBE and IT reseller focused on hardware/software products and services. Prior to that she was an Executive Recruiter and managed the full recruitment process for senior level positions within various State and Local agencies and within healthcare in the commercial space. She also serves as a founding Board member and Director of Administration for a local non-profit youth soccer club serving over 600 players and their families. In that role she provides direction and oversight for all administrative efforts including financial, volunteer coordination and vendor relations.

Sheri Bazan
Network Event Director

Sheri Bazan is the Relationship Manager for Delegata, a Sacramento-based IT Management and Consulting firm which serves government agencies throughout California and around the world. Over the past 16 years, Sheri has worked with government agencies with an emphasis on IT education and organizational change. She has an in-depth awareness of the challenges faced by governmental organizations and has a track-record of success in delivering comprehensive and cost-effective solutions. Sheri has also been recognized as an innovative thought leader in the field of online education implementation and design by a number of prominent IT associations and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. As a passionate and successful event planning entrepreneur, Sheri has planned and facilitated engaging events, ranging in subjects from Business Expos to Sporting Events.

Susan Shinneman
Events Committee Member

Susan Shinneman serves a dual role at e.Republic - as Publisher of TechWire magazine and as Vice President of California Programs where she manages strategic relationships with key industry and government executives. Previously, she held the position of Vice President of Events for Governing magazine.

Susan joined e.Republic in 1992 as the Executive Director of the Government Technology Conferences. She also worked closely with key industry and government leaders to launch the well-respected California Public Sector CIO Academy and assisted state agencies to produce key events, including the ID Theft Summit and the Governor's California Small Business Forum.

Susan is very excited to bring her 23 years of experience as an event producer to the WITI Executive Leadership team.

Cheryl Hotaling
Mentoring Director

Cheryl oversees all aspects of account management and oversight for the State of California Account, including business strategy, sales, capture and delivery. She has spent more than 25 years working in both the public and private sectors delivering IT solutions for various State of California agencies and departments. Her experience includes the direct delivery and oversight of large-scale system integration projects, independent project oversight, software development, independent verification and validation and quality assurance. Prior to joining CGI in November 2010, Cheryl served as 21st Century Project Manager for the State Controller's Office, Chief Information Officer for the Department of Child Support Services and Deputy Director for the Health and Human Services Agency Data Center. She also has over seven years of project oversight, delivery and business development experience working for various Sacramento-based consulting firms. Cheryl is a Sacramento native and is heavily involved in charities that support wounded and returning veterans.

Michelle Peregrine
Member at Large - Mentoring

Michelle is a Senior Manager with Deloitte's State Government Human Capital Practice, and part of Deloitte's Sacramento leadership team. She has worked in state and local government for over 17 years, both directly for local government, and subsequently serving Deloitte's state and local clients in California. Michelle helps clients achieve significant business transformation, typically driven by technology modernization initiatives. She helps to guide and support clients through business transformation by applying organizational change management principals and disciplines, aligning leaders and sponsors, strategic and effective stakeholder communications, and stakeholder training.

Mentoring, guiding and championing women on their career path is a passion for Michelle. She is a former leader of Deloitte's Women's Initiative in Sacramento, and founded Deloitte's Sacramento Parenting Network, both of which provide opportunities to mentor and coach others as they grow in their careers.

Evelyn Milani
Member at Large - STEM

Evelyn Milani, CEO of Avanti Recruitment Solutions has twenty-five years experience in the recruitment industry specializing in I.T. and Health I.T. direct placements. Evelyn is an expert at conducting Behavioral Interviews to understand a candidates' motivations and work preferences based on their past work experiences. She is an active Sacramento community leader participating in initiatives with the Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance (SARTA) where she is a member of the MedStart Advisory Board. Evelyn has a passion for workforce development in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields and visualizes a vibrant Sacramento where innovative companies thrive here as a result of a robust workforce. Evelyn is working to help make that happen by aligning students and career opportunities in STEM.

Cari Lyn Vinci

Cari Vinci is a serial entrepreneur with 35+ years of experience in the business world. She co-authored with Carleen MacKay, PLAYBOOK for Teens, part of a career playbook series.

She is Founder of InVINCIble Enterprises; creating print and digital content to empower smart, talented teens to become future business owners & leaders in [email protected]™ industries; and to help solve STEM talent pool problems for Fortune 1000 companies.

Cari is a frequent speaker at [email protected] events for teens, educators and parents. Topics include: "Are you raising a [email protected] SuperStar?"; "Women empowered by [email protected]"; "Inspiring [email protected] Leaders"; "Create your 10-year Home Run".

Cari has been honored as UNICO Person of the Year and Business Journal, Women Who Mean Business. She won the Dale Carnegie Sales Award, was Sponsorship Chair for EWGA, Co-Chair of Junior Achievement Crazy Bowl and recently graduated from the Entrepreneur Showcase.l

As president of FranNet West, Vinci coached individuals to become CEO's of their life. She has hired and motivated over 700 sales consultants, designed training programs, written a book on Meeting Management, and founded Team da Vinci, a Commercial Division of Keller Williams Real Estate.

When not working, Cari enjoys jazz, films, travel, yoga, festivals, entertaining and long walks with Cosmo Italiano, her adorable CockaPoo.

Niki Hirst
Membership Committee Member

As a business development manager at AgreeYa Solutions, Niki Hirst is responsible for branch performance in both IT staffing and solutions and software. She handles full-cycle recruitment from sales and HR to delivery and follow-up, and also works closely with the solutions department to present and deliver SharePoint solutions for clients. With more than 15 years of experience in product sales as well as in selling staffing and solutions services, Niki always has the customer's best interest in mind in every business transaction. She has won numerous awards throughout her career-including President's Club and Top Margins for the quarter. Niki holds degrees in both psychology and business management.
