Lunch and Learn No.1: Networking - Managing the Mingling

Bring your lunch to our Lunch & Learn!

You have just received an e-mail to attend your worst nightmare: a function where you won't know anyone in attendance. Will you go? Or will you stay at home because it is much easier than coping with the stress of attending the function?

Networking is an essential part of finding a new job. The aim of this first “Lunch and Learn” seminar is to help make attendance at a function a little easier. Many people are uncomfortable about attending a function where they don't know a lot of other people, find conversation difficult to start, or lack self-confidence.

During the seminar we will discuss why people find it difficult to attend a function, the benefits of attending, how to prepare yourself, and several helpful hints for getting you through the experience.
Hope to see you there!
