Women In Technology "Present and Future Trends of Tech"

Technology is ubiquitous and dispersed in every field. We will discuss the present and future trends of what’s “HOT” by a “Show & Tell” session.

We will be demonstrating Applications ranging from Speech and Q & A Predictive Analysis, to Innovative Ways to promote businesses thru Social Media and Engagement.

This event is hosted by the University of Miami and the WITI South Florida Chapter to bring both the academic and business community together.

Sara Rushinek
Professor of Business Technology and Health Information Systems for the University of Miami. She is also a Professor in the Masters in Clinical Translation Science �" Translational Research Program for the University’s School of Medicine. She is a reviewer for the National Science Foundation and is on the Editorial Board of International Journal of Business Intelligence and Systems. Dr. Rushinek specializes in Expert and Business Intelligence Systems, Mobi (Mobile) -MOOC Massive Online Open Course, eLearning & Web Site Mobile Web SEO App Development, Computer Litigation Support, Health Informatics IT, Cyber-Security and Technologies, and Web Development. Norma Sue Kenyon
Ph.D., Martin Kleiman Professor of Surgery, Microbiology and Immunology and Biomedical Engineering, became the University of Miami’s Vice Provost for Innovation and the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine’s Chief Innovation Officer in June 2012. Under the umbrella of U Innovation, Kenyon leads a team that includes the Office of Technology Transfer and the Miller School’s Wallace H. Coulter Center for Translational Research. In these roles, she serves as the primary liaison for University faculty and program staff to investigate opportunities for disclosure, patent protection, funding and commercialization of their scientific work and has responsibility for catalyzing interdisciplinary innovation across departments, institutes and schools in areas where the University has intellectual property opportunities with the potential for broad and far-reaching benefits.

Jen Underwood
Is a Microsoft Sr. Program Manager of Business Intelligence & Analytics. She works with external groups, customers, channel partners, MVPs, BI professionals and application developers to better connect the outside world to engineering. She also held roles as an Enterprise Data Platform Specialist and a Business Intelligence Consultant. Throughout most of her 20 year career she has been researching, designing and implementing data warehousing, business intelligence and predictive analytics solutions. Jen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and a post graduate certificate in Computer Science �" Data Mining from the University of California, San Diego.

Michael Salzhauer
MD, FACS AKA "Dr. Miami" is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Miami, Florida A graduate of Washington University School of Medicine ('96) he has been in private practice for the last 12 years. He specializes in cosmetic surgery, performing more than 1,000 elective procedures per year, mainly Brazilian Buttlifts, Nose Jobs, Tummy Tucks and Breast Augmentations. Nancy Dahlberg
A Miami Herald business writer and former editor with a passion for startups, technology and what makes entrepreneurs tick. She founded and hosts the Starting Gate blog on Miamiherald.com/business, the go-to place for news and views about startups and entrepreneurship in South Florida, as well as helpful resources.

Since 2009, she has also coordinated the Miami Herald Business Plan Challenge, an annual contest for entrepreneurs in South Florida, and has grown it from a contest that attracted 58 entries in 2008 to a three-track competition that attracted 248 qualified business plan entries this year. In addition, she launched and hosts an annual Business Plan Bootcamp, a free evening event featuring marquee local investors and startup advisors that attracted 350 people this year, and has produced pitch competitions. Patricia Monica Ojeda
Patricia Monica Ojeda is a dynamic business, Information technology and marketing executive that have over 25 years’ experience spearheading innovative solutions to some of the most complex and challenging issues facing the commercial and public sectors. She holds degrees in Information Technology, Operation Management; a post degree in strategic planning, and international certifications among other as IT Audit, Project Management, Executive coaching, IT Asset Management.

Acknowledged for her integrity, high professional standards, and "grace under fire. " She’s a versatile professional, leader in the Hispanic business community and IT industry. She has worked with IBM, Microsoft, PWC, CanAudit to name a few.

Patricia has been a high-energy business speaker on subjects like “How to use the technology to trade and grow”, “digital brand building”, and “Information technology and business”.
She is a truly believer of the power of the social networking, and she’s also an active participant on the community events and activities.

From 2009 I have been leading Kaden Consulting Inc. Kaden Consulting is a consulting company which provides solutions to business and professionals in Management, Marketing, Social Media and Information Technology.
